Kliper vs Screen Studio: editable demo videos on Windows and Mac
Record and edit demos in Kliper on Windows or Apple Silicon Mac, with cursor-focus zooms, captions and portable projects. Try the free version.
Kliper gives Windows and Apple Silicon Mac users a recorder and an editable timeline for product demos. Cut the take, add captions, frame the screen and save the finished video locally.
For new full-screen recordings, saved pointer movement can become editable zooms and click highlights. You can review the framing alongside your text, audio and clip edits.
Why choose Kliper for a product demo
Build the demonstration from the takes you want to keep. Combine videos, remove a pause, adjust speed, and place text where it explains the screen. Drag text and image layers to move, resize or rotate them; imported image layers require Pro.
Kliper supports Windows and Apple Silicon Mac, so its local recording and editing workflow is available on both. Windows can also keep microphone and computer sound separately for editing.
Use automatic focus without giving up the edit
Enable pointer saving before a new full-screen recording. In Studio, choose pointer-follow or click-follow, set the zoom, and apply automatic focus. Review the generated camera keys and highlights, then adjust the parts that need different framing.
You can add manual zoom keyframes to imported videos too. They do not gain pointer history retroactively. In Kliper, smoothing changes focus movement; it does not redraw a cursor already recorded in the picture. Regenerate click highlights after substantial retiming.
